OUR LEARNING LASTS A LIFETIME

What happens within the walls of our classroom

…or the confines of our campus is just the spark that ignites an entire lifetime of reaching one’s full potential.

Montessori School of Denver has been recognized as an “Elementary School of Thought” and as one of the top Private Elementary Schools in 5280 Magazine’s “Denver’s Top Schools” edition. We offer programs from Toddler through 8th grade (ages 2-14) and have a 60-year track record of inspiring success stories.

From Toddlers to Middle Schoolers, our programs instill a sense of wonder complemented by confidence, curiosity and a passion for asking more. Our students approach each day excited about what will transpire – knowing they will be an active and engaged part of the learning process.

At each level and every age, we are all about learning how to learn. We cheer for deep thinkers, encourage problem solving and relish questions, debate and discovery. Each program builds on the next so that our graduates leave MSD fully prepared to thrive in a world where working together, thinking collaboratively, researching and being globally aware is a must.

THE MSD DIFFERENCE

What makes our campus and community so refreshingly, vibrantly unique?

It’s all about what our kids learn. You see, our students learn more than facts and figures – they learn how to learn. They discover the adrenaline rush of discovery. The joy of collaborative thinking. They are question-askers, deep-thinkers and optimistic solution-finders.

As master learners, they head off into life with a spirit of inquisitiveness and use all those skills to tackle high school, college and beyond. They aren’t fearful of challenges because they know how to research, experiment, uncover, decipher and solve.

They use what they learn as toddlers, elementary school learners, and middle school achievers all the way to future boardrooms— where the world demands that you think creatively and work enthusiastically toward common goals.

They do good in the world. They are aware, empathetic and equipped to create change.

“There are fundamental things about MSD that are different than other schools, which is what makes it so special… This is not a school, it is a community, where individuals flourish, and ideas spring out of the ground like mushrooms after heavy rain. My gratitude for this place is great. I am leaving MSD, but MSD is not leaving me.”

“I was a student at MSD for 11 years. I have been so grateful to be able to learn, grow, and feel safe here. I have been able to make mistakes and learn from them, without feeling bad about making mistakes… I was always supported and encouraged to keep going and strive to push my limits until I succeeded. You have prepared me for anything that comes at me in high school and beyond, thank you, MSD.”

“MSD helped shape me as a person. I learned how important it is to be connected to my community, and that the people around me in school are there to help me so I should use that help to the best of my ability. I was able to easily form relationships with teachers and peers and have a more unique outlook on school.”

Montessori School of Denver Admissions to Lower Elementary or Grades 1-3

“My experience at MSD prepared me to think of new ways to solve problems, be mindful of our environmental problems and come up with solutions to these problems, how to do a project start to finish, how to look at problems at new and different angles, and how to think creatively. Also, it prepared me a lot in history/social studies, environmental sciences, and mathematics.”
