MSD graduates attend various high schools throughout the Denver area including other ACIS and independent schools, public, magnet and charter schools. Our graduates have developed the skills and abilities to be creative problem solvers, to think reasonably, to be self-confident and flexible in thinking so that new solutions are possible, to have self-control as well as the discipline and perseverance to see something through to completion even when it is hard or seems impossible. They have learned to work independently and in groups. Since they have been encouraged to make decisions from an early age, these young people are problem-solvers who can make choices and manage their time well. They have also been encouraged to exchange ideas and discuss their work freely with others. They have an “I can do it” attitude that will ensure future success in all aspects of life.

Our alumni take all the skills and encouragement and academics and confidence they gain here and go out to make a remarkable impact on the world. We know each student who passes through our campus carries a part of the MSD spirit with them to every corner of the globe.

"There are fundamental things about MSD that are different than other schools, which is what makes it so special. Children do not only learn from their teachers but from their peers as well. This is not a school, it is a community, where individuals flourish, and ideas spring out of the ground like mushrooms after heavy rain. My gratitude for this place is great. I am leaving MSD, but MSD is not leaving me." MSD Alum ('15)

"I was a student at MSD for 11 years. I have been so grateful to be able to learn, grow, and feel safe here. I have been able to make mistakes and learn from them, and learn without feeling bad about making mistakes. My family, friends, and teachers have helped me become who I am today. I was always supported and encouraged to keep going and strive to push my limits until I succeeded. Thank you for everything, MSD. You have prepared me for anything that comes at me in high school and beyond, thank you." MSD Alum ('15)

"MSD helped shape me as a person. I learned how important it is to be connected to my community, and that the people around me in school are there to help me so I should use that help to the best of my ability. I was able to easily form relationships with teachers and peers and have a more unique outlook on school." MSD Alum

"MSD instilled in me a kind of curiosity about the world, and to think creatively and globally." MSD Alum

"My academic experience at MSD helped lay the foundation of information that I would be building upon for the next six years and beyond. I also really appreciated the hands-on learning style of MSD, which continues to be a strong method of learning for me." MSD Alum

"My experience at MSD prepared me to think of new ways to solve problems, be mindful of our environmental problems and come up with solutions to these problems, how to do a project start to finish, how to look at problems at new and different angles, and how to think creatively. Also, it prepared me a lot in history/social studies, environmental sciences, and mathematics." MSD Alum
